    Be proud to showcase your research, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, or educational projects to our alumni.

    You may also present literature reviews or results of your community/professional services.

    You can likewise present your project proposal.

    The topic does not need to be related to our 2017 theme and all presenters do not need to be UP Nursing Alumni.

    The abstract should be between 80-150 words, excluding references.

    Please submit your abstract no later than June 3 2017.

    One behavioral objective should be identified. The primary author will be notified via e-mail. Final acceptance will require your signed faculty disclosure form and CV.

  • Opportunities for Yearbook Advertisement and Exhibitor Sponsorship During our 38th Annual Educational Conference & Convention

    To commemorate our yearly celebration, we publish a Yearbook that highlights our alumni and jubilarians. It is made of thick, glossy, book paper and in color that you will truly treasure as a memento of your class jubilee celebration. It costs $35 per copy,  but alumni who put in a full page ad are entitled to one free copy of the Yearbook. Please see the attached for the advertisement contract. The deadline is June 15, 2017. 

    Additionally, we offer businesses to sponsor and showcase their wares to our attendees. We typically have a big number of attendees who might be interested in your products. Please see attached exhibitor contract for costs and other exhibit stipulations. We hope you will avail of this experience and that our attendees will likewise patronize your products. Deadline to reserve a table and space is June 1, 2017.


  • Jubilarians Invited to Present at the 2017 Convention Dinner Dance in Orange County, CA

    All classes celebrating their Jubilee are now invited to do a presentation (song, dance, skit, etc.) at the Saturday Dinner/Dance (on July 29, 2017). The following are the classes celebrating their jubilee this year:

    1957 - Diamond

    1962- Emerald

    1967 - Gold

    1972 - Sapphire

    1977 - Ruby

    1982- Coral

    1987- Pearl

    1992 - Silver

    1997 - Wood

    2002- Crystal

    2007 - Tin

    2012 - Wood

UPAA-NJ Elects its New Set of Officers and Board of Trustees for 2017-2018

The University of the Philippines Alumni Association-New Jersey Chapter (UPAA-NJ) hosted their Holiday Party 2016 at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel last December 4, 2016. The event was well attended by alumni from all over the state of New Jersey and the neighboring state of New York. It was an afternoon spent rekindling old friendships, meeting new friends, and honoring fellow alumni for their outstanding contributions to the community and their individual achievements in their respective careers. Induction of the new officers was also held with some who are alumnae of the Collegeof Nursing, namely, Vice President Angie Arcenas, '91; Recording Secretary, Minnie Castillo, '86; Correspondence Secretary, Daisy Macadaeg, '86; Assistant Treasurer, Evelyn Alcontin, '82; Auditor, Rosemarie Gadioma, '81; PRO, Lani Benedicto, '86; and, Board of Trustees Member, Perlas Dumlao, '68. Way to go UPCN grads! Outgoing UPAA-NJ President Edmund J. Y. Pajarillo, current UPNAAI President, thanked all the attendees of the successful event and the incoming officers, on behalf of the rest of the outgoing officers and trustees.

UPNAAI Receives Donations from its Alumni

In the past month, UPNAAI received a total of three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500.00) from three alumni: (1) Josephine Cabildo Aparri, GN ’68, BSN ’66, M.Ed ’71, (2) Merly Castillo Abrenica, GN ’65, BSN ’86, and (3) UPCN BSN Class 1986. Thank you all so much for your very generous donations. On behalf of the officers, directors, advisers and members, we extend to you our sincerest appreciation. Your assistance will help UPNAAI continue its mission.
