We also pray for the recovery of Aurora "Rory" Pizana-Mamaril, BSN '63, who recently had a second stroke. Rory has an older sister, Raquel, Class '60, and sister-in-law Grace Mamaril-Farinas, BSN '63. Rory majored in Teaching and Supervision. After graduation from U.P., she went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree from New York University and a Master of Science from Columbia University. She has had extensive experience in Oncology and Hematology at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center and Stanford University Medical Center. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. Rory is married to Frank Mamaril, Ph.D., a biochemist. Rory celebrated with her class as Golden Jubilarians in June 2013. The family donated a substantial amount to the UPCN for a faculty endowment named after her  -  Pizana Mamaril Professorial Chair, which was launched at the UPCN Alumni Reunion in 2013.
