The UPNAAI Board of Directors approved the recommendation of the Medallion of Honor Committee that Ma. Rebecca M. Galvez Tan, BSN ’75, MAN ’83, RN is the 2016 J. V. Sotejo Awardee. The JVS Medallion of Honor is the highest recognition that UPNAAI bestows every year to an alumnus of either the UP College of Nursing or the UP- PGH School of Nursing. The recipient of this prestigious award is one who epitomizes the values, thinking, principles and vision of the Founder and First Dean of the U.P. College of Nursing, Dean Julita V. Sotejo. We are very proud of Ms. Galvez Tan’s amazing and unique contributions to our organization, the university, our country, and humanity. She will be awarded the Medallion and will be the Keynote Speaker during our 37th Annual Educational Conference and Convention to be held in Texas on October 14-15, 2016.
