The Philippine Consulate General in New York extends its warmest greetings to the officers and members of the University of the Philippines Nurses Association of America Inc. (UPNAAI) on the occasion of its Coral Jubilee Celebration and Grand Reunion.

Hosted by the University of the Philippines Nurses of the East Coast, this event offers an opportunity for the very competent Filipino American nursing alumni of UP to get together during this very important milestone in the Association’s history.

Since its humble beginnings in Cerritos, California in 1979, UPNAA has been giving back to its Alma Mater, through projects benefiting the Philippine General Hospital. I am glad to note that the thrust of your Association is going beyond charitable causes, and gearing towards enhancement of the nursing practice through education and research. This shift is consistent with this Jubilee’s theme of “Global Leadership: Breaking Barriers”.

Let me salute you all at UPNNAI for your exemplary service to the Filipino American community and to our home country. May your members continue to be hardworking and dedicated, traits that our country’s professionals are known for and proud of anywhere in the world.

Mabuhay ang University of the Philippines Nurses Association of America Inc! Maligayang ika-35 Anibersaryo sa inyong lahat!
