The DELMARVA chapter is busy with the preparation for the 33rd UPNAAI Reunion in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia on August 10-11, 2012. The program theme for this year’s reunion is "Exploring and Preserving a Legacy of Excellence". An expert panel of internationally renowned jubilarians are scheduled to present during the half-day seminar on Friday, August 10th headlined by Dean Araceli Balabagno and Dr. Josefina "Peng" Tuazon.
I bring greetings from the state of Virginia, UPNAAI DELMARVA Chapter. I am honored and humbled by the challenge of being the President of UPNAAI for 2012-2013. First, I would like to thank the members of the UPNAAI Board for entrusting me with this responsibility. With their support and collaboration, I am optimistic that we can contribute to the growth and development of UPNAAI. I especially thank previous UPNAAI presidents and leaders who have served as mentor and role model for me. A special thanks to Mama Flor Costelo for her encouragement. I know that I have big shoes to fill and I will try to do my very best.
The UPNAAI Awards and Citation Committee announces the search for distinguished UP nursing alumna/alumnus for 2012. We encourage all UP nursing alumni to nominate deserving candidates. The awardee will be honored during the UPNAAI annual reunion to be held on August 10, 2012 in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.
